Pitted Dates, 1 cup
3/4 cup hot water
Vanilla Extract (not imitation), 2 tsp
Cocoa, dry powder, unsweetened, 1/2 cup
Flour, all purpose, 1/2 cup
Granulated Sugar, 1/2 cup
Baking Powder, 1/2 tsp
Salt, 1/4 tsp
Tips
You can adjust the sweetness level by adding or subtracting sugar or your favorite sweetener from the recipe. They are not extremely sweet with 1/2 cup of sugar.
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a baking pan with olive oil.
Put pitted dates, hot water, and vanilla in a bowl. In a different bowl, mix cocoa, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together.
Place date and water mixture (don't drain) into a food processor and process until smooth. Add the flour mixture to the date mixture in the food processor and process until smooth.
Spread the thick batter into your baking pan and bake for 20 minutes until brownies are done.
