Salsa Chicken is the crockpot Salsa Chicken is the crockpot
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 lb frozen chicken breasts
    1 jar salsa (or 2 cups)

Directions

Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
Pour jar of salsa over the chicken.
Cook on low for 8 hours.
Chicken will easily shread and can be served over rice or in tortillas.

    Simple as can be. I made this with 5 chicken breasts, one jar of Southwest Chipotle Salsa, and put in the crockpot on high for 4 hours, and low for 1 hour. Absolutely fantastic....and you don't have to shred the chicken. We ate ours whole, serving them over brown rice...using the sauce on the rice - 7/4/08

  • I make this probably once a week. The other day I had some boneless pork chops and did the same thing. Instant carnitas! Eeveryone LOVED it. I make this for large groups too and have served over 300 with it. Just made it in big foil pans over a huge BBQ. Perfect. - 7/11/11
