Made this week before last kids raved....making it again. Didn't have time to get the low cal salad dressing second time again. But I will remember the next time I get it. Kids really loved how sweet yet sultry it was and I agree! 5 Stars!!! - 7/13/11

This is a family favorite for years and years, I had this the first time at my MIL house when I was dating my now husband almost 30 years ago. Wish bone Russian Dressing is hard to find sometimes. - 3/25/19

    O.K.
The husband made this and swore he followed the recipe, but we didn't end up with a caramelized tasty topping on the chicken. We ended up with chicken steamed/boiled in too much sauce and it took three times as long to cook. Not sure what he did wrong or if it was the recipe. - 6/29/17

Not sure why it took 3x's longer to cook, except 2 possibilities. 1) there is something wrong with your oven temp. or, 2) you used bone in chicken, which takes much longer to cook. As to the carmlization, it really doesn't carmelize. The color in the photo is the preserves.

Sounds yummy...but not very Russian :P

We didn't have dry soup mix...or "Russian" salad dressing.
or, more exactly Russian salad dressing is mayo, or sunflower/olive oil.
