Ingredients

4 tart/firm apples (Cortland are a good choice)
    1/8 c sugar
    1 tbs corn starch
    cinamon and nutmeg, to taste
    12 sheets Athens fillo dough
Cooking spray (butter flavor is best)
    1/2 tbs sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 400°. Peel, core and chop apples in 1/4" pieces. Toss chopped apples with 1/8 c sugar, cinamon, nutmeg and corn starch, then set aside. Lay out one sheet of fillo, spray with cooking spray, fold in thirds. Place a spoonful of apple mixture at one end, then fold up, as if you were folding a flag. Continue until the end is reached. Continue until all 12 turnovers are made. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray and place turnovers on cookie sheet, then spray turnovers with cooking spray. Mix 1/2 tbs sugar and a spinkle of cinamon in a bowl, then sprinkle over the top of each turnover. Bake for 15 minutes. Enjoy!
