Ingredients
-
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup Raw Macadamia Nuts
1 Tablespoon Raw Honey
1 banana
1/4 cup Blueberries, frozen
1/4 cup Cranberries, frozen
Directions
Nut Milk:
In a blender combine the water, macadamia nuts and raw honey. Pulse multiple times until the macadamia nuts are in tiny pieces. Over a pitcher or bowl strain the macadamia pieces from the liquid in a small mesh sieve or use a nut milk straining bag. Store the nut meal, covered in the refrigerator, for another use.
Smoothie:
In the blender combine the nut milk, banana and berries. Pulse a few times to coarsely break up the fruits and then run on a high setting for about 30 seconds.
Makes one 1 1/2 cup serving. Serve right away, if it sits for thirty minutes it will become as thick as pudding due to the pectin in the berries. If this happens you can re-blend with a little added water.
