Introduction
great way to get more protein into your menu, quite fatty though. great way to get more protein into your menu, quite fatty though.Number of Servings: 9
Ingredients
-
2 cups beans,
2 cups tomato sauce,
50 grams bacon,
0.25 Polish sausage,
3 tbsp flour ( I use wholemeal)
Directions
makes 9 servings
Put beans into a big pot and cover with water. (about twice as much water) Leave for 6 hours (best option is to cover it in the evening and cook in the morning). Then put more water if necessary (beans will "drink" the water) and start cooking. In the meantime, chop bacon and sausage. When the beans get softer, put bacon and sausage into the pot and cook together for about 30 minutes (until everything is soft). Then mix tomato sauce with 3 tablespoons flour and put into the pot. Cook everything for additional 20 minutes. Don't worry if the dish gets a bit "dense" - that's the way it should be.
