Introduction

I got the idea for this from the PETA website but substituted the vanilla protein powder with Greek Yogurt and Vanilla extract because I don't use protein powders. The addition of the yogurt takes it out of the realm of PETA's veganism and therefore I believe I'm safe in listing this recipe here. Hope you enjoy! Ingredients

2 cups chopped red kale, center stems removed
2 cups nondairy milk (Silk Vanilla Soy Milk)
1 pear, cored and diced (medium = approx. 2.5 per pound)
1 frozen banana, sliced (large = 8 to 9 inches)
6 oz. soft silken tofu = 170.1 oz. on the Spark ingredients list
    2 Tbsp. almond butter
    2 Tbsp. flaxseed oil
1 Tbsp. agave nectar = 3 “agave sticks” on the Spark ingredients list
4 oz. Greek Yogurt + 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (instead of 1 scoop vegan vanilla-flavored protein powder)

Tips

Might add minced fresh ginger (nickel sized disc), flaxseeds (1 tbsp crushed) or chia seeds (1 tbsp - high in Omegas but adds gel-like consistancy some might not like). Also, Mori-Nu Silken Tofu Soft is used for the Nutrition Facts. Lastly, although almond butter is high in mono and poly fats, it’s also high in Vitamin E and Magnesium & Manganese so I don't recommend leaving it out. -PEACE -

Directions

Place the kale and nondairy milk in a blender and process until completely smooth.
Add the remaining ingredients and blend until completely smooth.
