    1 cup cornmeal/grits/ polenta
    4 cups water
    1 T. margerine
    Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Boil water, whisk in polenta. Cook covered, stirring frequently 5 minutes or til thick.

    This recipe may be used for breakfast dinner or lunch.
    All you need do is add spices, (basil;italian seasonings;
    parmesan cheese; romano, etc. etc.
    It is very good and really low cal and filling.

    This is what we called "Corn meal Mush" & it was a regular Sat. noon meal, just as is! We put a little (Very little controled my Mother's hand) sugar, no margerine & powdered milk & we all thought it was Wonderful. Thank You for submitting i - 5/25/11
