Introduction

Adapted from Kristen's RAW Recipe, I only swapped out some of the Dates for prunes because I didn't have enough of the Dates to finish the recipe.

They still came out delicious and because of the Prunes this was less in calories.

Ingredients

    Date Filling:

    15 Medjool Dates
    12 Dried Prunes

    Crumble Ingredients:

    1C of Raw Cashews
    1C of Raw Almonds
    2Tbs Raw Coconut oil

Note: or you can use 25-30 Medjool Dates and omit the prunes

Directions

Crumble Ingredients:
Place all crumble ingredients in a food processor, fitted with the "S" Blade, and process until it starts to stick together a bit when pressed gently between two of your fingers.

Date Filling Instructions:
Place the pitted dates and prunes in a bowl with water and soak for about 1 hour. ( I let them soak for several days only because I couldn't find time to make the recipe) If your dates are small then add a few more.

Once the dates are soaked, place them in the food processor, fitted with the "S" Blade, along with 1/4c of the soaked date water.

Process until creamy, if you need more liquid add more to get the right consistency.

Assembly Instructions:
Take a little more then half of the crumble mixture and press it firmly into the bottom of your glass baking dish. ( I used a 9X9 Pan)spread the date filling on top. Then, sprinkle the remaining crumble on top of the date filling, and very gently press down.

I didn't use a dehydrator but her recipe called for it, it was fine for me as is - it was softer but firm.

If you use a dehydrator place the date bars in it and dehydrate them at 115 degrees F for about an hour.

Enjoy.
