Ingredients

    2 cheyote Squash
    3 tbls splenda
    2 tsp cinnamon
    1 tbls butter
    1 tsp vanilla

Directions

Take the squash and peel like a potatoe, remove seed from center, cut the squash up into bite size peices, like if it were a apple pie. microwave the squash for about 5 minutes and drain good.

Mean while in a frying pan and the buter cinamon vanilla and splenda, heat and combine throughly, then ad the squash to the pan and fry for several minutes, I fried mine until the mixture stuck to the squash and looked just like cinamon apples.

History. This is what Mcdonalds used to make their apple pies with until the squash got to expensive nowe they use granny smith apples.

Very good. I recommend chopping the cheyote into very small pieces. Larger pieces will taste a little of squash. Yummy with whipped cream - 10/20/07
