Introduction

Great for a low carb diet and easy to make! Use as sandwich bread or instead of bagel w/ cream cheese, lox or sugar-free jam, etc. Savory and sweet variations include adding herbs & garlic powder or vanilla & cinnamon, etc. Great for a low carb diet and easy to make! Ingredients

    large egg
    3 TB Almond Flour/Meal
    1/4 tsp salt
    1.75 TB unsalted butter

Directions

Mix together egg, Almond Flour/Meal, and salt. Melt butter and stir into mixture. Divide between 2 cereal bowls and microwave together for @ 95 seconds -2 minutes. Let cool a bit and remove with spatula, starting slowly at the edges.


Serving Size: makes 2 pieces of bread/cake

    Not really what I would call a "dessert", unless you added some sweetener and ideas like the cook recommended. BUT a very decent bread substitute with low carbs and high protein! EASY and FAST! Nice fragrance, too! - 9/17/13
