Ingredients

    1 tsp dried minced onion
    1 tsp chili powder
    1/4 tsp chipotle powder
    1 tsp cumin
    1/4 tsp garlic powder
    1 tsp crushed red pepper
    1/4 tsp oregano
    1/2 tsp corn starch*
    1/2 tsp of salt
    1 tsp tomato powder (I use Penzey's)


Directions

Mix taco seasoning together.

To season ground meat, brown 1 lb lean meat (beef, turkey, chicken) in a skillet. Once browned, add taco seasoning and 1/2 cup water. Simmer until thickened.

Use seasoned meat for tacos, taco salad, etc.

**Note** This seasoning can be made ahead and kept in the pantry for about 4-6 months.
