    1 C bulger cracked wheat (dry)
    1 C chopped celery (about 3 stalks)
    1 C sliced mushrooms
    1 onion, chopped
    2 Tbs extra virgin olive oil
    2 C vegetable broth
    1 tsp dill weed
    1/2 tsp oregano
    salt and pepper to taste


I like adding some grated mozzarella cheese just before serving, though this is NOT included in the nutritional information.


Saute uncooked bulger, celery, mushrooms and onions in olive oil until onions are translucent.
Add dill, oregano, salt, pepper and vegetable broth.
Cover and simmer until bulger is tender.
Check liquid level periodically to prevent sticking.

Serving Size: Makes 4 servings
