    4 eggs
    2 cups sugar
    3 1/2 cups flour
    1/4 tsp salt
    1 tsp baking powder
    2 1/2 tsp anise seed


Beat eggs and sugar together for at least 10 minutes, until sugar is dissolved.

Mix dry ingredients separately, and then add to liquid mixture, stirring occasionally.

Make snowball-sized ball out of dough. If sticky, add more flour. On flat surface, create a block slightly larger than mold size.

Brush mold with flour. Press mold onto dough, making sure pressure is placed on all parts. Lift up mold. Brush away any flour from sides of dough. Using a straight edge, cut extra pieces of dough, and then cut cookies.

Place cookies on a piece of wax paper. Once all cookies are made, cover cookies with cloth and leave overnight.

Once design is set, bake at 325 for 15 minutes on greased pan.
