Introduction

Pinto beans cooked in a crock pot with added turkey sausage and onions and peppers. Pinto beans cooked in a crock pot with added turkey sausage and onions and peppers.

Ingredients

    1 pound pinto peans
    1 pkg Smoked Turkey Sausage
    1/2 c chopped onion
    1/2 c chopped bell pepper
    1/2 c chopped celery
    Salt and garlic powder to taste

Directions

Sort and rinse beans and soak overnight.

Rince beans and place in crock pot. Cut turkey sausage up into rounds then cut in quarters to make meat go farther and add to crock pot. Add onion, garlic powder, salt, bell pepper, and celery or use the frozen onion and celery mix for faster putting together. Cook on low in crockpot 6 to 8 hours. Can be served over brown rice (non included in recipe totals).
