Introduction

This is a very sweet bread that is lower in fat! You can also reduce the fat more with egg substitute and reduce the sugar by using brown sugar splenda. My kids love this bread! Number of Servings: 20

Ingredients

    1 box yellow cake mix
    3 eggs
    1/2 T. canola oil
    3 mashed bananas
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1/3 cup applesauce

Directions

In one large bowl, mix the bananas, oil, and applesauce. In another bowl mix the cake mix and brown sugar, then dump into the wet ingredients and mix well. Pour into two large greased loaf pans. Nake at 350 for 40 minutes. (Or you can use 6 small loaf pans and bake 25 minutes.) Cool completely, slice and serve.

    This is very good! I normally do not like banana bread, but this is different! My husband loooooooove banana bread and he says this is the best he's ever had. Little does he know how healthy it is for him! - 2/28/10
