Introduction

A make at home, lower calorie version of a coffee shop classic. Make an extra cup of coffee in the morning and store it in the refrigerator to be able to make this whenever you crave it. A make at home, lower calorie version of a coffee shop classic. Make an extra cup of coffee in the morning and store it in the refrigerator to be able to make this whenever you crave it.
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1/2c milk (I used 2%)
    1/2-3/4c strong coffee (pre-brewed)
    1 1/2 TBS sugar
    3/4-1 TBS unsweetened dry cocoa
    dash salt
    1-2 drops vanilla

Directions

Pour milk & coffee into a mug (leave about 1/2 inch room). Microwave for 2 min or until very warm. Dissolve sugar and cocoa into the hot liquids (adjust to taste--I like my cocoa dark). Add salt & vanilla and stir. [NOTE: salt is important to bring out the sweetness in the sugar] Makes 1 serving.
