Introduction

I was the Chinese Take-Out Queen! I knew everything on the menu and had my favorite restaurant on speed dial. I was such a regular they knew what I was going to order before I even opened my mouth (they had caller ID). Now that I am a member of Spark People, I no longer patron many of my favorite haunts (pun intended); however, I just can't see living life without some of my favorite flavors. My local restaurant had THE BEST Fried Ice Cream. It was Crunchy, Creamy, Cinnamony Sweet Bliss! I have left off the Rich Chocolate Syrup, Real Whipped Cream, and the Maraschino Cherry, but the taste and texture are very close to the real thing. The texture is very important to fooling my mouth into thinking this is one of "our" favorite treats even though it is a fraction of the calories @ 165.5 and only 4.5g of fat. I'm a sweet addict so I'm always looking for ways to make my favorite treats fit within my nutritional goals. I hope you find this recipe fills your mouth with the same Fried Ice Cream textures and flavors as the real thing and if you've never had Fried Ice Cream...I hope you find this to be a new favorite dessert! Ingredients

6 Round Won Ton Wraps (I used NASOYA® Brand)
1 Lg Egg White, beaten w/ just a touch of water
    1 Tsp Granulated Sugar
    ¼ Tsp Ground Cinnamon
6 Scoops Vanilla Frozen Yogurt (½ cup serving each, I used Edy’s®/Dreyer’s Brand)
1 ½ cups Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal, crushed in small pieces (not ground)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°. Set out Frozen Yogurt to thaw slightly while completing other steps. Mix sugar and Cinnamon and set aside. Lay out each won ton wrapper and brush lightly with egg wash. Lightly sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture over each wrapper reserving enough to repeat on other side. Press each wrapper into a non-stick or Teflon® coated standard sized muffin pan. Bake until tips or edges are golden (about 5 – 6 minutes – watch closely). Place 1 scoop of frozen yogurt into warm won ton cups and sprinkle crushed cereal equally over each serving. Serve and Enjoy!
