Directions

Take Rice, water, cinimmon and boil until rice is tender, you should have more water than rice left over. Add raisins and let them cook a little with the rice. Then add evaporated milk and let boil for a little bit. I didn't add sugar since I put splenda in mine but you can also add sugar to this recepie, will effect calories. Actually arroz con leche is not a Mexican dessert, it´s from Spain, and the original recipe does not have raisins! - 8/8/08

We make something similiar to this. We boil the rice with the cinnamon stick and lemon peel. We then take it out before serving. We put it in a mold and sprinkle cinnamon on top and chill it. It is considered a Cuban dessert. I also add a little vanilla extract. Very nummy. - 1/21/08

I added dried cranberries instead of raisins and it was very tasty. Can't wait to try it as a cold treat. - 1/20/08
