Ingredients

1/2 rice-cooker cup pearled barley
1/2 rice-cooker cup steel-cut oats
1/2 tsp kosher salt
3 cups water
Directions
Measure barley, oats and salt into rice-cooker or crockpot. Add water.
Select porridge cycle on rice cooker. Set timer for about an hour before you want to eat, so the porridge can continue to thicken on keep warm.
In crockpot, combine ingredients before you go to bed and turn crockpot on low ("keep warm" is even better). Porridge will be done in the morning.
Serving Size: Makes about 3 1-cup servings (about 300 grams)
