Ingredients
-
1/2 cup Nasoya Silken Creations Dark Chocolate
1/2 cup Nasoya Silken Creations Vanilla
1/4 cup + 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tbsp + 2 tbsp unsweetened apple sauce
1.5 tsp + 1.5 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup + 3/4 cup all-purpose unbleached enriched flour
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and lightly grease an 8x8 glass baking dish with non-stick spray.
In two separate bowls, mix the chocolate batter in one bowl and the vanilla in the other.
Chocolate batter = chocolate Nasoya + 1/4 cup brown sugar + 2 tbsp apple sauce + 1.5 tsp baking powder + 3/4 cup flour
Vanilla batter = vanilla Nasoya + 1/4 cup brown sugar + 2 tbsp apple sauce + 1.5 tsp baking powder + 3/4 cup flour
Layer the batter in the 8x8 glass baking dish. It's up to you how you layer the batters, but I put the vanilla on the bottom and the chocolate on top.
If you'd like to, run a knife in a zig-zag pattern through all layers of the batter so there is a more marble-like pattern when you cut into it later.
Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees F or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Makes 12 servings.
