Nutrition & Calorie Comments

It's good, but I think the ginger was too strong. I think next time, I will use 1/4 or 1/8 tsp ginger. Also, I added about 1/2 cup water for smoother blending, added a banana, and omitted the sugar.I tasted it before adding the banana, & the banana helped cut the ginger flavor a little but not much.
Instead of sugar I used Trivia. Less calories and same great taste.
I NEVER add sugar to a smoothie. Not needed.
Indeed very refreshing and filling as well. works well when my body is craving for sugar. I have tried Watermelon, diced red papaya, fresh blood orange juice with a tspn of honey instead of the sugar.

This sounds so good, I am trying it today with the no sugar added Shwan's Vanilla Ice Cream (no yougurt on hand)
I made this with Blue Bell Cherry Vanilla light ice cream, because I didn't have any yogurt. I didn't add any sugar because of the ice cream, and this is incredible! YUM-O!
I love this! The ginger and almond make this something special. I subbed vanilla lowfat yogurt for the plain yogurt and sugar. This makes two, in my opinion rather skimpy, servings or one generous serving.
