Try Pomi tomatoes for this sauce- no salt or sugar, comes in strained (smooth) or chopped... Tastes like fresh and an added bonus, packed in cardboard tetra-pak, so no BPA in the can lining!!!
good luck finding the *no salt* in tomato paste and tomato sauce; I am able to find no salt or low sodium canned tomatoes.
Loved it! easy to make and tastes great! Will use again! love the low sodium!
very simple and tastes good to boot. I made it with brown sugar instead of white and just used italian seasoning instead of oregano and basil.
I left out the sugar and added finely chopped carrot instead. This was very tasty and chunky with all the veggies. Threw in some ground turkey and served over whole wheat noodles for a really great dish!! Will make this one again!
I followed the recipe however this sauce was very tangy and somewhat bitter. Tried adding more sugar to cut the tomatos but didn't help that much.
This sauce is great! I made it with the spicy low fat turkey meatballs! Great combo! Thanks for posting. This will be made again! :D
