Nutrition & Calorie Comments

I left out the sugar as suggested by one member and heated up one cup at a time and used honey, if needed, to sweeten it up....tasted good...
I made this without the sugar. It was delicious!
@1AVERY and I do this the same. It was great to see the recipe online with the calories attached. I leave out the added sugar as well, I like the cranberry, apple, cinnamon and clove flavor as is.
Delicious and I don't use the sugar.
Lots of sugar... I will pass on this.
I’ll get lo cal cranberry and apple juice. Also need some Splenda brown sugar.
Made mine sugar free
WONDERFUL!! I put it in a slow cooker and just left it on low. Gave a wonderful fragrance to the house. Didn't use any sugar at all. Just No sugar added Apple juice and cranberry juice with the cinnamon and cloves. I had brown sugar on hand for anyone who wanted to sweeten it. WILL make again!
Love this, but use unsweetened juices and stevia, not brown sugar. Yummy!
This was really good. I use honey don't like substitute fake sugar. It's not good for you.
I will use sugar free juices and Splenda brown sugar blend to lower the sugar content. This sounds yummy for Christmas morning.
This is one I use when I need a warm drink. Very good but I don't use as much sugar.
No sugar added for me either, and it's delicious.
Totally delicious, though not low cal. It's a pretty standard punch, my father would have added brandy.
I used sugar free juices and added Splenda and it was fine.
this is good but I do not add sugar at all
It's sweet enough with out the sugar. Don't like the clove either
I don't drink my calories... but the grand kids enjoyed it ....once a year
Maybe I misunderstood the ingredients. I used 100% cranberry juice and 100% apple juice, no sugar added.(I cannot process artificial sweeteners.) I thought the apple juice would sweeten the drink enough but it did not. I used 2 cups of brown sugar to make the cider sweet enough to be tolerable.
This is way too sweet. Cranberry juice already has a lot of added sugar. It's so sweet, I usually dilute it with water to cut the sweetness, and apple juice is also very sweet. I would never add more sugar fruit juices.
This one is a five star one for me.....and I am diabetic. Just used sugar free juices, and Splenda brown sugar. Almost totally sugar free...and calorieless! Something really special for Christmas morning.
Quite high in carbs but festive looking and tastes good. Subbing sweetners would help but will limit to an occasional special holiday treat.
As a diabetic, the carbs are a bit much. I use the sugar-free cranberry juice and leave out the brown sugar, it tastes really good with the cinnamon and cloves when warm.
The only change I made wasto use Splenda Brown Sugar and the amount is based on the sweetness of the juices.
I make this but don't use any sugar just warm up apple juice with cranberry juice and put in the cinnamon sticks and I keep it in the fridge and then just warm up one cup at a time. If I was going to sweeten it I would use a bit of honey.
