Ingredients

2 6-oz. packages semisweet chocolate pieces
    4 cups Cheerios

Directions

Melt chocolate in double boiler over hot water. Remove from heat and cool at room temperature. Gently stir in cereal until well-coated. Drop by tablespoon onto waxed paper. Chill in refrigerator about 2 hours ("cooking" time) or until chocolate is set. Makes 3-3/12 dozen (nutritional info based on 3 dozen/per Ting-A-Ling).
*NOTES*
There are many variations of this recipe, which include the "Chinese" version made with chow mein noodles instead of cereal. Nuts, coconut flakes & a combination of chocolate & butterscotch chips can be added also (keep in mind, this also adds more cals & fat!). I've used many different kinds of cereals in batches, such as wheaties, raisin bran, kix, kashi, rice crispies, etc...feel free to experiment with this fun recipe! Easy for kids, too :)

very good! so easy to make!I actually got more than the 36 servings. I made half a batch and got 24 from that. i used my mini muffin pan and put a little gob in each one to make it a little easier for myself. would be very good with some crushed peppermint for the holidays. or with white chocolate. - 12/7/08

This was very easy to make, but I don't know how there is 36 servings. I wasn't able to fit the full 4 cups of cheerios in the chocolate. They did taste good. - 12/25/07
