Ingredients

    2 Golden Delicious apples
    2 T. sugar
    1 t. cinnamon
    flour for dusting
1 pkg. (7.5 oz.) refrigerated biscuit dough

Directions

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Peel apples; grate them into a medium bowl. In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Stir 3/4 of cinnamon sugar into grated apples (the rest will be for sprinkling on top of each pie).
2. Roll each biscuit to about a 5" circle with a rolling pin, using a little flour on the surface and on the rolling pin. Spoon apple mixture onto circles. Fold circles over and pinch edges to make half-moons. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (to keep your pan from getting stuck on apple!).
3. Brush pies with a little water, and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon sugar. Bake 20 minutes. Makes 10 pies, 1 pie per serving. I actually eat 2 pies for my serving, but little kids probably will only eat one.

I tried them with splenda and reduced fat crescent rolls and they were delicious. This is a nice easy recipe and the size is just perfect for little ones, I can't wait to make some for my grandchildren. - 8/4/08

I used ww crescent rolls and made 16 apple envelopes :) I baked them at 350 for 14 mins. I doubled the cinnamon. They were excellent and my SO loved them too. So simple and occassionaly worth eating up the calories and sodium count with this treat. Thanks for sharing. Will certainly make again. - 7/20/09

Great recipe. Except I nearly burned my house down because I put them on parchment paper! About 5 min in, the oven was smoking, so I took them off the paper and transferred them to an ungreased cookie sheet. They came out just fine. - 9/16/10

I made these to test for my Bunco desserts for Wednesday. I loved them and what I love is that it is simple. If the person who used the ww crescent rolls would send the nutrition info, I would love that. I also wonder if Stevia couldn't be substituted for the sugar for diabetics. - 9/27/09

My biscuit tube had only 8 in them so my batch came out with 8. I enjoyed eating the pocket, I thought it was tasty and I will make them again. I think next time I'll cut my biscuits in half to make a bunch of smaller pockets. My family enjoyed these too. Quick to make. - 10/8/10
