This Brat and Peppers pasta is an easy and simple way to add excitement to Jennie-O plain brats.

Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

    1 Package Jennie-O Brats
    2 Large Colored Bell Peppers
    1 Medium Onion
    2 Cloves of Garlic (peeled)
    1 Jalapeno Pepper
    2.5 Cups of Wheat Pasta

Directions

This dish makes five servings. I use half a cup of pasta, one brat link, and add the other ingredients.

Boil water for the pasta, once boiled add pasta and cook accordingly.

Cook the package of brats on Medium Heat in a Skillet or Frying pan. Coat the pan with Pam cooking oil.

While the Brats are cooking cut up the Onions/Peppers into large chunks and set aside. Slice the Jalapenos and Garlic also.

When the Brats are halfway done cooking, add in the garlic and onions. Once the Brats are close to being done add in the peppers until they are cooked, but still crisp. Mixe everything together. Do not over cook.

On Plate: Take 0.5 cup of pasta, one brat link (cut up into bit size pieces) and mixture of peppers/onion. Sprinkle a bit of Parmasan cheese for taste.

Enjoy!

    Incredible!
i used a little olive oil as well and skipped the onion and jalapeno by using the hot italian flavored brats. Also added 1/2C pasta water to the pan when I added the pasta to the peppers/onion/brat misxture. Came out great and has been added to our meal rotation! - 2/10/09

    Very Good
Very good and easy to make. I added a little bit of olive oil to the pasta to keep it from getting dry. - 11/12/08

I will rememver that, usually from all the juices in the sausage and peppers I do not need much "sauce"..
