This recipe was passed down from our "Grandma Mary" who has since passed-away. But it will forever to us be known as "Grandma Mary's Jello". It's a great light & tasty dessert that's easy to make. Ingredients

    1 container Cool Whip (16 oz)
    2 pkgs (3oz ea) strawberry Jello
    water to prepare jello according to pkg instructions
    1 quart strawberry ice cream

Directions

Dissolve jello packages according to package instructions in hot/boiling water. Add cold water according to Jello package instructions. Chill the gelatin until thickened or slightly firmed.

Add 16 oz container of Cool Whip & 1 quart of strawberry ice cream. Fold into thickened gelatin and whip the mixture together with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.

Pour into a jello mold and chill in the refrigerator until completely firm (at least a couple hours). Un-mold the Jello and serve.
