Introduction

Perhaps not quite as amazing as a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte...but close enough to be cost effective! Perhaps not quite as amazing as a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte...but close enough to be cost effective!

Ingredients

    - 1 cup water
    - 1 cup sugar
    - 1 tsp cinnamon
    - 1/2 tsp ground cloves
    - 2 tsp nutmeg (or 1/2 tsp mace)
    - a couple tbsp pure vanilla extract (or cognac)

Directions

Simmer until sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally.

If you mind the spices, strain through some cheesecloth before serving. Note there is no actual pumpkin in this recipe - the taste is more about the pumpkin pie spices, but you could add in some pumpkin as well if you so desired.

Now go ahead and make yourself a latte (or some yum-o steamed milk)!

Serving size is approx. one tbsp. Enjoy!
