Ingredients

    Kidney beans, dark red, low sodium, 2.5 cup
    Trader Joe's Organic Free Range Chicken Broth - Low Sodium, 1 cup
    Foster Farms Lean Ground Turkey, 8 oz
    red onion, chopped 45 grams
    Crimini Mushrooms - about 2 cups
    Garlic, minced 1.5 tsp
    Kale, 145 grams
    Salt, 1 dash
    Pepper, black, 1 dash

Directions

Makes about 6 - 1 cup servingsservings

1. brown ground turkey with onions, garlic and salt and pepper to taste
2. put ground turkey, kale (chopped into bitesized pieces), beans, mushrooms and broth into crockpot.
3. cook until tender (about 1 hour)

    This is really tasty. I used Trader Joes Smoked Turkey Kielbasa and all of juice from reconstituted Crimini mushrooms. Will make again...found a recipe to use Kale (yeh!!!) - 5/7/12

    Pretty good...and I'm not much into kale, but I understand that kale can help with calcium being brought into the bones. Even if it doesn't it has a load of vitamins. : ) - 11/13/07
