Ingredients

3/4 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
3 cups Quaker oats (Quick or old-fashioned)
1 cup flour
1/4 cup water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup raisins
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Beat shortening, sugars, egg, water and vanilla together until creamy.
Stir together flour, salt and soda; add to creamed mixture, blend well.
Stir in oats.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
Bake in preheated moderate oven (350 degrees) for 12 to 15 minutes.
