Ingredients
-
MorningStar Farms Sausage Patties (1 Pattie)
1 large Egg
0.5 tbsp chopped chives
1 slice whole wheat bread
1 slice american cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Prepare sausage patty according to instructions
Whisk together eggs, salt, pepper, and chives in a medium bowl. Place the eggs in a non-stick pan (or a pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray) over medium heat and stir until soft curds form. Remove eggs from the heat.
Cut the piece of whole wheat bread in half (you can also use two slices, but this adds calories). Toast each half until lightly brown. Place a slice of cheese on top of one piece of bread, and let the cheese melt. Place a sausage patty on top of the cheese, and eggs on top of the sausage patty. Place the remaining piece of bread on top of the sandwich, and heat the sandwich (either in the pan from the eggs or in a toaster oven) for about 1 minute.
Serve immediately.
