Ingredients

    *Whole Wheat Flour, 2 cup
    Granulated Sugar, 0.18 cup
    Baking Powder, 0.5 tsp
    Baking Soda, 1 tsp
    *Salt - Table - 1 tsp., 0.5 tsp
    *Shortening, Crisco, 4 tbsp
    *Buttermilk - Powdered (Saco Cultured Buttermilk Blend), 4 tbsp
    Egg, fresh, 1 large
    *Caraway Seed, 1 tbsp

Directions

Preheat oven to 375
Mix dry ingredients
Cut in shortening
Separately mix buttermilk (as prepared per package) and beaten egg
Slowly add buttermilk/egg mixture to dry mixture until thouroghly blended.
Fill greased (PAM works great) muffin tins and bake
20 to 25 min (until toothpick comes out clean)

Serving Size: Makes 12 small - sized muffins
