This is a very hearty vegetarian meal! This is a very hearty vegetarian meal!

Ingredients

    32 oz. frozen or fresh blackeyed peas
    2 cups water
    15 oz. ranch style beans
    1 cup chopped onion
    1 cup chopped green bell pepper
    1 cup chopped celery
    16 oz. frozen or fresh sliced okra
    15 oz. tomatoes with green chiles
    1 tsp. salt (or to taste)
    1 tsp. pepper (or to taste)

Directions

Combine all ingredients in crockpot. Cook on low 8 to 10 hours.

We have a garden so almost all of what we put in this recipe is fresh!
