Introduction

This is the recipe that my grandma used except she used bacon grease instead of olive oil. This is the recipe that my grandma used except she used bacon grease instead of olive oil.
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    1 Cup cornmeal
    1/2 cup flour
    1 tsp salt
    3 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    1 cup buttermilk
    1 egg
    2 Tbls olive oil

Directions

Mix dry ingredients together. Make a well in the middle. Add egg and buttermilk. Stir well. Add oil. Bake in 8-9 inch square pan to make cutting into 12 equal servings easier. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes.
