Introduction
Very simple no-cook cake. Sort of like an Oreo cookie roll. Very simple no-cook cake. Sort of like an Oreo cookie roll.Number of Servings: 10
Ingredients
-
15 Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafers
2 c whipped topping
Tips
I used Original Cool Whip or other tub-type whipped topping. I believe it will probably work just as well with the aerosol variety. Haven't tried that, but the object is just to create a filler which the cookie can absorb.
You can make these as large or small as your platter allows. I made a guess at 15 cookies. More or less cookies, or a different filler, will naturally affect the nutritional values (which are lower than you'd expect!)
Directions
Put a good dollop of whipped topping on a cookie. (For this recipe, I estimated about 2 tablespoons of topping for each cookie. Be generous!)
Layer remaining cookies, together with topping, in a stack.
Lay stack on its side and "frost" with remaining topping until no cookie parts are visible.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. This is necessary for the cookies to absorb the moisture in the topping.
To serve, slice the roll on a diagonal. Each slice will have vertical stripes of cookie - which should be puffed up a bit.
Serving Size: about 10 3/4" slices
