1/2 Onion, chopped
1 Clove Garlic
1/2 tsp Thyme
A few grindings of pepper, to taste
15 oz Can Red Beans
1 C Long-grain Brown rice, cooked
Hot Pepper Sauce, to taste
Tips
Brown rice takes a long time to cook, so prepare the rice at least an hour ahead of time (unless you are using instant.)
Directions
Brown sausage in saucepan over medium high heat.
Once sausage is browned, add onion and garlic, and cook until onion is transparent.
Add remaining ingredients, and heat on low for about 20 minutes, so that flavors can meld.
