Ingredients

400g lean steak, cut in small strips
marinade it for as long as you like in the soysauce, sugar, ginger and garlic
    1 med onion, finely sliced
1 med red pepper finely sliced in strips
2 med carrots, in matchsticks or if you don't feel like such fiddly work, go for thin (2mm) slices and give a headstart in the microwave (3 mins) before adding to the main dish
1 cup of shredded white dutch style cabbage, or red cabbage would also do
    1 tbs olive oil

Directions

Before you start to cook slice up the steak first and marinade it.Even the 10 minutes while you prepare the veg will be enough to make it worth your while.
Slice or shred all the vegetables and put in a bowl.
Heat the oil in a large frying pan or wok and quickly stir fry the vegetables for about 3 minutes, add the marinaded steak and fry for a further 3-5 mins, add a little water if it starts sticking.
We had this with savory rice. The portions are small, so a smaller group could have more
