Introduction

This is a master mix, with optional ingredients the nutritional value is for the dry mix only split into 36 servings which would be two biscuit recipes or so.

Number of Servings: 36

Ingredients

    3 c white flour
    3 c whole wheat flour
    3 Tbsp baking powder
    1.5 tsp salt
    3/4 c powdered milk
    1 cup shortening

    - biscuits use 3 c of mix and 3/4 c water stir until blended, knead 8-10 times, pat or roll to 1.5" thinch cut out and bake on cookie sheet

    - muffins use 3 c of mix, 2 Tbsp sugar, 1 C water or milk and 1 egg. Mix sugar into master mix, mix egg and water and stir into dry ingredients until moistened. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full. (options: I use 1/2 c grated carrot, also try 1/2 blueberries, choc. chips. raisins with a bit of cinnamon, you make it up)

    - pancakes use 1.5 c mix, 2 Tbsp sugar, 0.75 c water or milk and 1 egg, stir until blended (lumps are ok) and cook on pan or waffle iron.

    - cake use 3 c mix, 0.5 c sugar, 2/3 c water or milk and 1 egg.
    stir all ingredients until blended, place in well greased pan. Mix 1/2 c brown sugar, 3Tbsp butter, 1 Tsp cinnamon and sprinkle over cake

    - oatmeal cookies use 3 c mix, 0.5 c sugar, 1/3 c water or milk 2 eggs and 1 c oatmeal, 1 tsp cinnamon. (optional raisins or nuts) stir until well mixed. Drop by spoonful onto cookie sheet and bake

Directions

-biscuits (18) 425 F for 10-15 min (cookie sheet)
- Muffins (12) 400 F for 20 min (12 muffin tin greased)
- pancakes (12) med pancakes or 3-4 waffle iron waffles
-cake 9" square pan 400 F 25 min
-oatmeal cookies (36) 375 F 10 - 12 min
