    32 oz 85% Lean Hamburgers
    2 tsp Salt
2 tsp dried mustard (by ROSEBERRY)
    1 tbsp Cider Vinegar
    2 cup, packed Brown Sugar
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions, raw
    48 tbsp Heinz tomato ketchup

Tips

Keeps for up to a week in refrigerator. May be frozen and kept for up to 9 months.

Directions

In a skillet chop the ground beef really fine as it cooks to a gray color. Don’t fry it; set aside. In a Dutch oven or 3-quart saucepan, mix salt, mustard, vinegar, brown sugar, onion, green pepper, and ketchup, stirring to combine. Tie up pickling spices in a small bag and drop in sauce. Cook for 10 minutes on medium to low heat. Add drained hamburger to sauce and cook on low heat for 2 hours, stirring regularly. Crock-pot Method: combine ketchup, salt, dry mustard, vinegar, brown sugar and green pepper in crock-pot at 350 degrees (medium-high); stirring to combine. Add cooked ground beef and onions. Add spice bag. Cook at 350 degrees for 3-4 hours. Remove pickling spices and serve on buns. May substitute cooked, pulled pork. Will keep in the refrigerator for up to one week.
