    1 Cup 100% soy protein isolate or soy/whey blend protein powder
    Up to 1-1/4 Cup water or unsweetened soy milk
    1 egg
    2 tablespoons sour cream (if using water above)
    2 tablespoons sugar-free syrup
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    Powdered artificial sweetener, such as Splenda or Sugar Twin (whirl it in a food processor)


Heat oil in a Fry Daddy, deep fryer, or heavy deep cast iron pan. In a bowl, mix together the protein powder, egg, sour cream, syrup, salt, and 3/4 cup of the water or soy milk. Add more water or soy milk until you get a texture like a very thick frosting. If you need more water to get that texture, add more--the amount you need it will depend on the protein powder used.

Spoon the batter into a cookie press or pastry bag with a large fluted tip. Squeeze the batter into the oil in 4" logs, deep fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. While still warm, sprinkle with sweetener and cinnamon.

These must be eaten while still warm
