Introduction

Something I cooked up this fall with things lying around the pantry, but VERY good. I love it with baked acorn squash. I have used brown sugar or honey to good effect. Splenda would work too. It's pretty flexible. If you a like a thicker sauce, add less water, or cook it a little longer to thicken it. Something I cooked up this fall with things lying around the pantry, but VERY good. Ingredients

    12 oz fresh cranberries (one bag)
    1/4 c. candied orange peel
    1 medium tangerine
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. water

Directions

1. Either juice the tangerine, or peel well and remove the seeds.

2. Add tangerine, cranberries, and candied orange peel to a small sauce pan. Add water and heat to a simmer.

3. Cover and simmer until all of the berries have burst (about 10-15 minutes).

4. Add the sugar and simmer a few more minutes.
