Introduction
An easy quick fix dinner! An easy quick fix dinner!Number of Servings: 6
Ingredients
-
Dry Mix:
2 cups dry macaroni
1 cup dry milk powder
1 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 tablespoon dry celery or celery seeds to taste
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Combine all of the dry ingredients in a plastic zip lock bag, or a resealable container. Keep on the pantry shelf for a quick dinner.
To Cook:
5 cups tap water
1 package of Tuna Magic (above)
1 or 2 - 6 oz cans of tuna, drained (I use 1)
1 tablespoon margarine (optional)
Directions
Get out a large skillet or saucepan. Measure the water into it and bring the water to a boil over medium heat. After the water boils, add the contents of a Tuna Magic package. Cook and stir the mixture over medium heat. It should simmer gently. You can put a lid on it if you like, but stir it rather often, because it has a tendency to stick. After 15 minutes of cooking, open up your tuna and drain off the juice. ( Use one can if you like a mild tuna flavor, and 2 cans if you like a strong tuna flavor). Add the margarine if your tuna was canned in water, but leave it out if the tuna was canned in oil. Cook the mixture for 5 more minutes and then serve. You can add a few frozen peas to the mixture along with the tuna if you like, but they're not really necessary.
