Introduction

Lower fat croutons with italian seasoning. Lower fat croutons with italian seasoning.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    3 slices whole wheat bread
    italian seasoning
    olive oil cooking spray

Directions

*preheat oven to 350 degrees
*take the bread and stack them, cut them into about 1 inch cubes, should get about 8 cubes out of each slice
*spray cookie sheet with olive oil spray, lay cubes on the sheet, then spray the cubes with the spray
*sprinkle the seasoning over the cubes
*place in oven on low rack and bake for 10 minutes or until desired crispness

serves 6 - about 4 cubes per serving 64.1 calories

    This tasted really good and came in extra handy for the salad without dressing! Next time I'm going to try it with low fat parmesean cheese or fat free grated topping. - 5/25/09
