Introduction

The most delicious salmon you'll ever taste! The most delicious salmon you'll ever taste!
Number of Servings: 3

Ingredients

    Salmon filets with skin
    1 tsp salt
    3/4 tsp paprika
    1/2 tsp cumin
    1/4 tsp coriander
    1/4 tsp thyme
    1/8 tsp cayenne
    1 tsp olive oil

    (Note: you can sub in a commercial Cajun spice if you don't have all of these, but it's much better if you mix the spices yourself.)

Directions

*Nutrition info is for 3.5 oz. servings*

Combine the seasonings in a small bowl. Rub the spice mixture generously on the salmon (non-skin side).

Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon with the skin side up and cook for about 5 minutes. Flip the salmon and cook for another 5 minutes.

    OMG!!! This is amazing and super simple to make. I hate fish, at the healthy kind, but this has me hooked (no pun intended). Definitely a keeper in my kitchen. I didn't change a thing with this recipe...it is perfection!! - 4/15/12

    This blackened salmon recipe was the best ever and very simple to make. I used the cajun seasoning as the rub and it was perfect. I may use the indivdual spices next time. Thanks for the yummy salmon recipe! - 1/15/12

    Very happy to see for myself what makes up "cajun spice". The leftovers were as good if not better on day 2! Will definitely make again and carryover the spice ingredients to other preparations :-) - 6/18/11
