Ingredients

2-3 cans reduced sodium black beans
one german sausage (turkey or other will work too)
    cumin, cayenne pepper, black pepper
    fresh cilantro
    one jalapeno pepper (fresh)
    one large red onion
    low sodium beef broth

Directions

Cook the german sausage either on the grill, or under the broiler until done. slice and dice the garlic, onions, cilantro until finely chopped. Start the beef broth in a pot, and add the beans and sausage and veggies. let that simmer for a few minutes, then add all the spices. I let my simmer for about 45 minutes, towards the middle of the simmer, i opened up and put in one whole jalapeno pepper. This is delicious! And it thickens up after a night in the fridge and is even better. Can be served with rice. You can use more or less cayenne pepper to your taste.
