Introduction

This is a traditional curry recipe where I followed half from the back of the Patak's Curry Paste jar and the half from a recipe printout from the "Addicted to Curry" manga. It makes about 2-3 servings. Instead of ground beef, I used turkey. However, you can use ground beef if you like. Ingredients

    2 cups (16 oz.) ground turkey (or lean ground beef)
    1 onion, diced
    3 tbsp. canola oil
    1/2 cup tomato sauce
    1 cup frozen peas
    1/2 cup diced tomatoes
    2-3 cloves of garlic (grated)
    2 slices of ginger (grated)
    4 tbsp Patak's Mild Curry Paste (you could also use Curry Powder, but maybe only about 2 tbsp. and add in some of your own spices)
    salt - to taste

Directions

1. Pour canola oil into a pot and allow it to heat.

2. Add the diced onions and saute until they caramelize (reach a golden brown color).

3. Add in the ground turkey and cook through.

4. Add in the curry paste and let cook about 1 min.

5. Add in tomato sauce and peas. Add in 3/4 cup of water and let simmer for approx. 25 mins.

6. Add in the grated garlic and ginger. Also add in desired amount of salt and stir the ingredients evenly.

7. Serve over hot, cooked rice.

Makes approx. 3 1.5-2 cup servings.
