Ingredients
-
* Almonds, 1.5 cup, whole
* Sunflower Seeds, without salt, .5 cup, hulled
* Raw Buckwheat Groats, .5 cup
* Apples, fresh, 7 small (2-1/2" dia)
* Dates, 7 dates
* Cranberries, .5 cup
* Coconut, raw, .5 cup, shredded
* Raw Agave Nectar, 8 tbsp
* Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp
* Cinnamon, ground, 2 tsp
* Sea Salt, 0.33 tsp
Directions
Soak alonds and sunflower seeds for 8 hrs. each
Rinse and drain them, and place in a big mixing bowl.
Grate the apples - enough to make 5 cups of shredded apple
Puree dates to fine paste in food processor.
Add all ingredients to nuts and seeds, mix well.
Place on at least 2 dehydrator trays with teflex sheets (or saran wrap, if no teflex). If you have more trays available, use them as it will reduce drying time. Dehydrate 1 hr. at 145, then reduce temp to 115. When it's dry enough flip sheet over on top of new sheet without the teflex, and continue drying.
Be creative with substituting the fruit in the recipe.
