Introduction

When I think of dinner out, I think of T.G.I. Fridays Cobb Salad. Even though it is full of healthy vegetables it is one of the most unhealthy salads on the menu becuase of it's fattening ingredients. I have created a lighter version that tastes just as great without the guilt! When I think of dinner out, I think of T.G.I. Fridays Cobb Salad. 4 large Romaine lettuce leaves
    1 medium tomato
    1/2 ripe avocado
    1 hard-boiled egg
4 oz. boneless chicken breast, without skin

This salad is a healthier choice and has been made much lower in fat than the restaurant version by leaving out the olives, bacon, bleu cheese crumbles, bleu cheese dressing, and cheddar cheese.

Sorry, but this isn’t “Cobb” salad. It’s a decent chopped salad, just not a Cobb. - 4/29/19

I think you should have included the dressing - 11/10/09

You are right. I should have! I personally do not like blue cheese at all and wanted to leave the idea that you can have a Cobb salad with any dressing you like. Even if you add a lowfat blue cheese dressing and some bacon bits it would still be in a great calorie/fat range.

    Good
I love cobb salad, but somehow this wouldn't do it for me ... & that's alot of calories to come in a far cry from the real thing. - 11/10/09

The real thing has about three times the calories and 5 times the fat. Ouch!
