Ingredients


    3/4 cup all-purpose flour
    1/4 cup + 2 Tbs cocoa powder
    3/4 cup splenda
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
    3 egg whites
    1 tsp vanilla

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine dry ingredients, stir in wet ingredients. Coat an 8x8 baking pan with non-stick spray, spoon batter into pan and spread evenly. Bake 20-25 minutes until edges are firm and center has just set.

    I liked the recipe but seriously think baking powder was erroneously omitted. Too compressed so I am going to experiment more. Husband is allergic to sugar so I was thrilled to find this! Could just use a little improvement. - 5/22/12

    O.K.
    Just made these using whole wheat flour and threw in a few pecans. They are very sweet but not anything like a brownie. It didn't rise at all and is very heavy and dense. Not awful... but not that great... maybe they would have been better with regular white flour??? - 3/5/10
